Dr Aaisha Kamran graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in Pakistan. She relocated to Australia in 2012 and completed further training at various hospitals, including Swan Hill Regional Hospital and Werribee Mercy Hospital in emergency and general medicine. Dr.Kamran then worked at Various Regional hospital emergency departments and urgent care as a Registrar for over 4 years. Prior to joining the team at Palmers medical Centre, Dr. Kamran worked as a GP at The Quay Family Healthcare in Torquay.
Dr.Kamran has a special interest in women’s health, paediatrics, chronic disease management and preventative medicine.
Dr. Kamran loves travelling, cooking, music and hiking, although looking after her two gorgeous children means that free time is a rarity.

We offer both face-to-face and telehealth appointments.
Also please note on some days some doctors are working from home so they can only do telehealth appointments on those days, if you are unsure please check with reception.
To ensure we run an efficient and effective practice, we have implemented a new fee policy from 1st August 2018 in regards to those who do not show up for their appointments or cancel late. If you are unable to make your appointment, please inform us a minimum of 2 hours prior to the appointment time to avoid fee.
Please ensure to complete personal details sections of medical forms prior to your visit to the Doctor.
Since 1st July 2022 we have moved to private billing hence there will be out of pocket fee for most appointments. For kids 15 & under and concession card holders with an appointment most GPs bulk bill their visits. For the appointments that attract an out of pocket fee you will have to pay full fee on the day and claim any rebate back from Medicare. We can help you claim your Medicare rebate instantly if you have a plastic debit card linked to your savings/cheque account.

Our Pathology collection room is provided by Dorevitch Pathology.
They are open as follows:
Monday to Friday - 8am to 6pm
Saturdays & Sunday 8am to 2pm
They accept pathology requests made for other pathologies.
The fee charged by pathology is completely independent of the medical centre.
Our Doctors may refer you for tests/x-rays/scans or onto a Specialist. It is your responsibility to check into any costs and cover any fees/charges these services may involve.
Many services from pathologies / radiologies and other providers attract a fee. This is not controlled by Palmers Medical Centre, please check with the relevant provider for their fee list.

We offer all vaccinations including childhold vaccines, flu vaccines, COVID vaccines and many adult vaccines.
If you think you may need a longer than normal appointment time you should advise reception staff when booking the appointment. Some appointments such as Medicals, Health Checks and Care Plans may need to be rescheduled if the appropriate time has not been allocated.

We are required to fulfil our ethical and legal responsibilities, we therefore require that you attend your doctor in order to receive prescriptions for your medications (if your regular doctor is not available, another of our doctors will be happy to assist).
Our doctors are able to issue a medical certificate after an examination. You will therefore need to make an appointment for your medical certificate with your preferred doctor. The issuance of medical certificate and the dates on it is at the discretion of the treating doctor based on your discussion/presentation.
Since 1st July an out of pocket fee of $40 applies for all workcover consultations for any new workcover visits. All work cover consultations must be paid in full by the patient on the day of consultation and claim any applicable refund from their employer / insurer.
All existing workcover claims which were seen by one of the doctors at the practice prior to 1st July 2022 will continue to be charged to employer / insurer as per the arrangement in place prior to 1st July 2022.

This medical practice uses the Telephone Interpreter Service when required. We can arrange an “over the phone” service or an “on site” service with 48 hours notice.
Our staff DO NOT give results over the phone. If your results have come back and your Doctor needs to see you, our staff will call you and arrange an appointment for you. Alternatively, you may make an appointment for a few days after you have had your tests done to discuss the results with your Doctor.
Please note our reception staff do not have access to test results nor can they see if the results are back as they straight to the doctor.
Our Doctors are unable to take telephone calls while attending to patients, if you require to speak to your Doctor, our staff will take a message and the Doctor will call you back, usually at the end of the session. At the moment, due to privacy issues, our Doctors are not able to discuss personal information via email or text.
Our Practice is committed to Preventive Care. We may issue you with a reminder notice from time to time offering you preventive health services appropriate for your care. An example of this would be a Pap Smear or Annual Flu Vaccination reminder. If you do not wish to be a part of this system, please let us know at the reception.

Work Experience: Nish is a Musculoskeletal and Manual Physiotherapist with more than 16 years of experience in private practice.
He has extensive experience in the treatment of complex musculoskeletal problems including strong skills in manual therapy, rehabilitation, core strengthening, dry needling and Clinical Pilates. He has special interest in treating back pain, neck pain, headaches and sports injuries. Nish also has special interest in treatment and prevention of footy and cricket injuries. As an active sportsmen, still playing cricket himself, he understand the importance of biomechanics and injury prevention in active individuals.

Cagla, a highly experienced and qualified podiatrist for over 12 years completed a Bachelor of Podiatry at La Trobe University and is a registered podiatrist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Years of experience in the private sector has allowed Cagla to excel in her podiatry knowledge. Cagla has a special interest in sporting injuries, heel pain, rehabilitation, diabetes management, and general Podiatry.
Cagla regularly attends professional development seminars, being a extensive member of the Australian Podiatry Association (APODA) to ensure that she uses the latest, evidence-based treatment for a range of lower limb conditions allowing her to tailor treatment plans to suit individual needs.
In her spare time, Cagla enjoys exercising, shopping and travelling. Being a new mum she juggles motherhood and podiatry with her gentle nature. She is also fluent in Turkish.

Karim has been working as a pharmacist for over 30 years, graduating with honours in 1991 and completing his Masters of Pharmaceutical Sciences in 1999 at the University of Baghdad. Karim has practiced pharmacy across 4 different countries, developing great communication skills with patients of many different demographics, using motivational interviewing with patients to achieve the most suitable outcome.
Karim has been working as a diabetic educator for several years travelling across Victoria to provide patient care.
Karim speaks both Arabic (all dialects) and English.
Angelique holds Master of Dietetics Practice and Bachelor of Food and Nutrition degrees from La Trobe University, with specialized training in the Monash Low FODMAP diet, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Food Chemicals, menopause, disability support, food therapy and more. As a passionate dietitian, Angelique is dedicated to providing holistic, client-focused guidance that is realistic, achievable, and sustainable for long-term health and wellness.
Angelique has a special interest in gut, brain, and body balance. She has expertise in gut health, IBS, food intolerances and allergies, Coeliac disease, sports performance, injury recovery, menopause, pre/postnatal, mental health and weight management nutrition.
