17th Oct 2024 – Email Communications instead of postal letters

Please note that going forward all unsuccessful phone/sms comms and follow up comms will be communicated via email on file instead of postal letters so we request all our patients to update their email id stored on their file. Our staff will be routinely asking patients to reconfirm their email ids. 

Fee changes from 1st July 2024

Please note that our fee is adjusted as per Medicare fee changes that came into effect from 1st July 2024. Please check our fee section for the new fee.

Change in Fee from 1st March 2024

Please note that from 1st March 2024 we will have a different fee model for Dr Sree.

The changes are

1. All patients including kids and concession card holders will be charged the same gap fee as regular patients i.e .$30 during regular hours and $40 during afterhours.

2. Long consultations will be charged a gap fee of $40 at all times.

Please note that immunisations on NIP and all care plans & health assessments will still be bulk billed.

Nov 1 2023 Fee Update

The doctors practising at Palmers Medical Centre offer mixed billing – hence there will be an out of pocket fee of $30 for consults during 

week days 8am to 8pm & $40 during weekends, public holidays and weekdays after 8pm.
Patients 15 years and under, with an appointment are bulk billed at all times, including weekends.

Patients with valid concession cards will be bulk billed during week days 8am to 8pm, and charged $40 out of pocket fee during weekends, public holidays and weekdays after 8pm.
Patients without an appointment – are charged $40 out of pocket fee at all times.

ALL WEEKEND AND PUBLIC HOLIDAY APPOINTMENTS FOR PATIENTS OVER 15 ATTRACT AN OUT OF POCKET FEE of $40.

Late cancellation fee (if cancelled under 2 hours) and Did Not Attend fee of $30 to $60 will apply.
For some appointment types your credit card details are taken for auto post payments.

July 1 2023 Fee Update

  • The practising doctors at the centre adjusted their fee inline with an increase to Medicare Rebate on 1st July 2023. The gap fee of $30 during the week and $40 for afterhours remains the same, so does $20 gap fee during weekends for kids under 16 and concession card holders.
  • For all payments made via credit and debit cards there is a small surcharge added to cover the bank fee. To minimise fee we recommend patients pay via Debit Card tap and go. We do accept cash and bank transfer for no bank fee transaction.
  • Each doctor can charge a different fee for same services, please check with your doctor for their fee.

FLU Vaccines 2023

  •  We now have stocks of flu vaccines 2023. Please call our reception or book online if you are interested to get it done.
  • We have both government funded and private flu vaccines in stock.
  • Government funded vaccines are only available to some groups of patients. Eligiblity criteria is listed here
  • Private flu vaccines are $20 each and the consultation is bulk billed for patient with Medicare as long as the consultation is limited to flu vaccine only. The patients without Medicare are charged a rebate fee for these appointments.

Pfizer Bivalent

  •  We now have Pfizer (Comirnaty) Bivalent Original/Omicron BA.1 vaccine (subsequently referred to as Pfizer bivalent) for use as a booster COVID-19 vaccine in people aged 18 years and older

Palmers Medical Centre Practice Fee update – effective 1st July 2022

Doctors at Palmers Medical Centre are private billing patients for GP consultations from 1st July 2022.

Doctors at Palmers Medical Centre have made a few changes to their fee schedule on 15th October 2022. The changes are

  • Kids 15 and under are now bulk billed on week days regular hours i.e. Mon to Fri 8am to 8pm.
  • Concession card holders and kids 15 & under pay an out of pocket fee of $20 on week days after 8pm, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.
  • All immunisations that are part of national immunisations program, which includes all childhood vaccinations are bulk billed at all times including weekends.
